A large number of taxi drivers are planning to protest in Dublin this afternoon.
According to reports, the demonstration is about the restructuring of fares by the National Transport Authority.
The planned charges, which are due to come into effect in April, are said to leave drivers with a loss of 32 cent per kilometre during long journeys.
The demonstrations comes from two representative groups, the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation and the National Private Hire and Taxi Association.
Other taxi groups have voted to accept the changes.
The protest is expected to go from the Phoenix Park to Leinster House from 2pm.
