A Strictly Come Dancing star has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Hertfordshire Police confirmed that the arrest took place last month, and the star was released on bail while under investigation.
"It would not be appropriate to comment on an ongoing police investigation," a spokesperson for the BBC told BBC News.
The Sun alleges that the man raped a woman after a BBC event.
The outlet reports that the woman was not a dancer of a contestant on the show, but that the man had met her due to his being on Strictly.
"A man was released on police bail under investigation having been arrested in London on Monday 13 October on suspicion of rape," Hertfordshire Police said.
"Meanwhile inquiries by officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary's Public Protection team will continue.
"Given the nature of the allegations, it would be inappropriate to make any further comment at this time."
They said the allegations relate to an incident that took place in Hertfordshire.
The news comes after another man who was involved with Strictly was arrested on suspicion of rape in August.
He was also suspected of "non-consensual intimate image abuse". It has not been confirmed what his role was on the show.
Strictly has been on air since 2004, and is filmed primarily at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
