It has been revealed this morning that one of the lead characters of Love/Hate will not survive the fifth series of the hit RTE drama…so if you don’t want to find out who, we advise you to stop reading now!

According to the Irish Sunday Mirror, heartthrob gangster, Tommy (Killian Scott) will not survive the upcoming fifth series.

Tommy, who was brutally beaten by mob ringleader Nidge in season three, was left brain damaged and more or less useless when it came to a role in the notorious crime gang.

Now, a source has told the Mirror that Tommy is not going to last for the fifth season: “Tommy was in a coma fighting for his life at the end of the series, and he will not make it past episode one,” the source stated.

Viewers will remember that Tommy collapsed in a pool of blood after saving Nidge’s skin at the end of the last series.

Actor Killian Scott who plays Tommy is not listed for the upcoming season, and his agent has not commented on the future of the actor in the hit drama. His headshot is also absent from RTE’s promotional clips for this year’s show.

According to the Mirror, the actor hinted earlier this year that he may only make a small appearance in the next few episodes.

“It’s been a really great experience filming Love/Hate and I’ve learnt a huge amount and enjoyed playing the part of Tommy,” the actor said. “But it’s going to have to come to its conclusion.”

The first episode of the show kicks off this Sunday, October 5th, and is rumoured to be the most vicious of all.
