The company was best known for selling prints and mugs, and has become a staple in every Irish woman's house, and in the Her.ie office.
Twin sisters Rachel and Ciara Howard confirmed the news on social media this afternoon.
They explained that their popular home and gifting brand will be closing its online store.
After nearly five years in business, the siblings made the difficult decision to close the store after immense success online.
They explained the reason behind the closure:
"We have some sad news to share with you all. After almost five years in business, we have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to close our online store.
"What started as a creative outlet and exciting hobby during Covid, rapidly grew into a six-figure business with overheads and salaries to manage."
"As many of you know, we hand print almost all of our products and fulfill every order ourselves, so this really has been a labour of love from day one."
"What started as something we loved has slowly taken over every single part of our lives. It's been go, go, go since day one with a lot of creative burnout."
"The truth is, we want the freedom to be creative without feeling like our entire livelihood depends on it," they explained.
They explained that keeping the store open isn't an option due to the stress of rising costs, tariffs, and the current state of the economic climate.
The owners stressed that this isn't the end of Howrad, but just a new direction for the brand.
"Over 40,000 of you have ordered from us from all over the world and became part of this community. Your love and encouragement have meant the absolute world to us."
Howrad Studios will be hosting a warehouse sale in Dublin. They will confirm further details on their social media.
There's no doubt they'll go on to even bigger and better things.
