Social welfare dates will change this week due to the Easter weekend.
A warning has been issued to the public ahead of the Easter holidays.
The long weekend is just around the corner and as excited as people may be about it, the public has been advised to note changes to their social welfare payments.
Due to the long weekend, post offices will be closed which has affected social welfare payment dates.
The government has confirmed that all post offices will be open until 1 pm on Good Friday, April 7th.
However, post offices will be closed on Saturday, April 8th, as well as Easter Monday, April 10th.
This means payment dates for welfare payments will change slightly.
The majority of payments due on Friday, April 7th, and Monday, April 10th, will instead be paid on Thursday, April 6th.
Payment dates will return to normal from Tuesday, April 11th.
The Department of Social Protection has also confirmed that Intreo Centres and Branch Offices will close on Good Friday, April 7th.
They will also be closed on Easter Monday, April 10th.
All offices are set to re-open as normal on Tuesday, April 11th, according to the Department of Social Protection.
