Turmeric is commonly used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines to clear infection and inflammation. Raw organic honey is minimally processed and contains many nutrients. It also eases coughing. If you find it difficult to get your hands on raw honey, normal honey is fine.
Wellness Tea Recipe (30 servings):
- 2 Lemons
- 1 Orange
- 2 inches Ginger Root
- 1 Tbsp Turmeric
- 1 cup Raw Honey
How to make it:
Thinly slice the lemons and oranges (skin on) and add to a bowl, removing the seeds.
Peel and grate the ginger, add it to the bowl. Add one tablespoon of turmeric.
Add one cup of raw, organic honey.
Mix everything together and store in a jar. The honey will draw out the liquid from the citrus and it’ll become very syrupy.
To use: Whenever you're under the weather, add one heaped tablespoon of the mixture to a cup of hot water and sip.
