Horrible news if you’re meant to be travelling to or from France with Ryanair tomorrow.
The Euro 2016 Championships are in full swing and the big game between Ireland and Italy is taking place this evening.
There are many people due to fly to and from the country, for the football, holidays, work engagements and so on, but their plans are now completely up in the air.
The news was announced by the budget airline this evening and you can find full details of the affected flights here.
Speaking about the unfortunate situation, Kenny Jacobs, Chief Marketing Officer at Ryanair said:
“These strikes by French ATC workers are becoming a weekly event by now, causing chaos for families wanting to take their summer breaks but also designed to upset the plans of football fans coming from far and wide to France to enjoy the Euros”.
“It is simply unacceptable that this situation is allowed to persist, and we regret that once again we have been forced to cancel a number of flights due to the selfish actions of these workers”.
This is not the first time flights have been disrupted in recent weeks due to strike action from French air traffic workers with previous Aer Lingus and Ryanair flights affected on a number of occasions.
