Ronan Keating is “absolutely devastated” following his brother’s untimely passing.

Ronan Keating’s brother Ciaran was travelling to his son’s football match when he was involved in a fatal road accident.

The beloved dad-of-three tragically passed away on Saturday following a two-vehicle collision in Mayo. His wife Ann Marie was also in the car at the time of the accident, but her injuries are not life-threatening.

The couple was reportedly travelling to Cork to watch their son Ruairi play football for Cork City. However, tragedy struck when his car collided with another in Co. Mayo.

Ronan Keating is “absolutely devastated” following his brother’s unexpected death. A source told The Sun, “It’s the phone call no one wants to take about their loved ones. Ronan dropped everything as soon as he heard the devastating news.

“He is trying to stay strong for the sake of the family and is doing everything he can to support his sister-in-law and his nephews.”

Gardaí released a statement following the harrowing accident.

“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal two-vehicle traffic collision in County Mayo on Saturday, 15th July 2023.

“The incident occurred at approximately 3.35 pm on the N5 at Ballymiles near Swinford. A driver from one of these vehicles, a man in his 50s, suffered fatal injuries.”

The driver of the second car was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A technical examination took place following the accident. Gardaí have urged witnesses to come forward with any relevant information.
