Lord Charles O'Hagan died at the North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple last month after he suffered a subdural hematoma, that is according to an inquest opening in Exeter.
The 79-year-old had a ceremonial role as a Page of Honour to Her Majesty from 1959 until 1962.
Additionally, Lord O'Hagan was a Conservative peer and a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Devon twice, from 1973 to 1975 and from 1979 to 1994.
The Lord, who resided in the village of Beaford in Devon, was said to have a history of falls and confused states.
He was born in September 1945 to father The Honorable Thomas 'Anthony' Edward Towneley Strachey and mother Lady Mary Sophia Palmer.
His mother, who was Lady-in-Waiting to then-Princess Elizabeth between 1944 and 1947, as well as an Extra Lady-in-Waiting until 1949, was described as a friend to Her Majesty.
She attended the birth of King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in November 1948.
