It’s a universal truth that you either worship a cat or love a dog. For us, any doubts we used to have on the animal debate got thrown out the door with this latest story.
An elderly couple in Kent found themselves under siege by a stray cat that stalked their home for two days.
Bruce and Eileen Gough, both in their 70s, told the Kent Online how the cat broke into their home, defecated over their bedroom floor, smashed antiques and then bit Mr Gough so badly he required tetanus shots.
Bruce told the local website how the cat had crawled in through a bedroom window and ran straight into the spare bedroom:
“When I got up, it dashed off into a spare bedroom and I found it hiding under the bed. I tried to coax it out but it wouldn’t budge, so I got a broom to ease it out.
“But when I went to pick it up, it just flew at me and sank its teeth and claws into my forearm.”
The couple eventually had to call their neighbour in for help, who donned his motorcycling leathers and helmet to address the situation.
The cat was eventually bundled out of the house by being wrapped in a blanket and let out in the garden.
