Primark is trialling online orders for the first time ever

Primark is reported to start selling some of its products online in a new trial expected to start by the end of this year. Associated British Foods, the company that owns Primark, is said to be launching click and collect trial on all children's products and is set to take place in up to 25 stores in the UK. The stores will be those located in the north west of England and the trial will include around 2,000 products. Primark customers have been calling for the retailer to move online since before the pandemic began, but more so since then. ABF recently said the website has been revamped in the UK to now allow shoppers to check in store availability and online traffic has jumped 60% due to it. This feature is yet to be made available in Ireland but is aiming to be introduced by the next month. A spokesperson told the Irish Sun: "Primark plan to roll out the new website out to other countries over the summer months. "They aim to have Ireland live by July." It is yet to be confirmed if this will be introduced in Ireland also, depending on the success in the UK.
