Be quick, lads.
Penneys has just launched their shopping by appointment booking portal.
The retailer announced last week that they would be welcoming some shoppers back next week by appointment only, one week ahead of the official reopening of Ireland’s non-essential retail.
Those looking to secure themselves a place in the store from next week can access the booking portal now. But be warned, there’s bound to be a lot of interest.
“Shopping by appointment is now live and can be accessed via the link below,” they said.
“We are anticipating high volumes of traffic to the site and cannot guarantee that a space in the queue will mean a guaranteed time slot.
“To ensure the safety and well-being of our colleagues and other customers, we kindly ask that for each time slot allocated, only one customer attends.”
There’s every chance that by the time you read this piece the booking portal will be closed and you will have missed yourself a chance at bagging a coveted slot. But, if you were one of the lucky few, here’s how the system will work.
You’ll arrive to your specific Penneys store 10 minutes before your time slot. Only one person will be permitted entry per time slot booking.
You’ll head into the store and do yourself some much needed shopping before the rest of the country. Sorted.
Penneys announced that they would be introducing shopping by appointment last week.
“Following the government announcement on retail shopping, we are delighted to confirm that we will be temporarily offering Shopping by Appointment in all our Irish stores, the week prior to our full reopening on 17th May,” they said.
“We cannot wait to welcome our customers back and our incredible retail team will be working hard to get our stores ready.”
You can enter the queue to book yourself a spot here.
