The couple, who have been together for 13 years, confirmed their shock split this afternoon.
In a joint statement, the couple confirmed they are now separated.
However, they remain on good terms and stressed that they will continue to raise their sons together.
They stressed that there is no other person involved and vowed to lovingly co-parent their children.
The presenters have asked the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time
Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley first met when they hosted Fame Academy together in 2002.
They tied the knot in a ceremony in Rome in September 2012.
Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley have two sons together, Milo and James. Their first child was born in January 2016, and their second in June 2018.
The Late Late Show presenter and Deeley lived together in London with their two sons.
