Bring a brolly, lads.
If you were hoping the sun would be back out today then we have some (kinda) bad news for you.
While it will still be warm enough, Met Éireann has said that there will be plenty of rain over the next 24 hours.
“Rain will develop along the west coast this morning and gradually spread to the rest of the country during the day, with the rain more persistent by evening. Becoming windy and gusty through the day as south to southwest winds gradually strengthen. Highs of 16 to 18 degrees.”
FAB.
Latest rainfall radar.
Rain will move eastwards across the country today, heaviest and most persistent in the north and west this evening. Mostly light and patchy further east and south. pic.twitter.com/FEQADlXU9T— Met Éireann (@MetEireann) June 13, 2018
Tonight doesn’t look much better, which more rain and winds becoming strong.
“Wet and windy this evening and early tonight. The winds will become very strong later in the night as they change direction to westerly with the rain turning more to showers. Lows of 8 to 10 degrees.”
All those new summer clothes you bought over the weekend? Yeah, you might want to shelve them for a while…
