A nine-year-old girl has died following a car crash in Co Armagh.
The schoolgirl was traveling in the backseat of a car on Hamiltonsbawn Road at around 9am this morning when it was involved in a serious collision.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
ITV reports that she had been a pupil of Armagh’s Hardy Memorial Primary School.
The driver of the car, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital following the incident. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The road was closed in both directions following the collision. The PSNI advised motorists to seek alternative travel routes.
Authorities have also appealed for any witnesses of the incident to come forward.
