Met Éireann has released a new weather warning this morning as sleet and ice still remain all over the country.
Ireland will be hit by wind, sleet and rain, as a snow and ice weather warning remains in place until 8pm this evening.
Windy along the west coast with very strong, gusty W to NW winds. A blustery day further east. Widespread showers of rain, hail or sleet with a risk of thunder. The best of any sunny spells in the east. 4 to 8°C

A wind warning for counties Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick will also end today, however the forecaster said to expect “blustery and showery, heavy showers with hail and a risk of thunder.”
Winds will reach a speed of 45 to 65kph with gusts of up to 85kph and western areas will be affected the most.
Tonight will be windy with lots of rain and sleet. Fun.
