In the same week as Storm Chandra battered Ireland, Met Éireann have issued another Status Yellow rain warning.
Valid for the entirety of Thursday (29 January), the alert applies to Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.
It reads:
"Further heavy rain and showers falling on saturated ground, combined with high river levels, may cause the following: difficult travel conditions, localised flooding, river flooding."
The UK Met Office has also issued a Yellow warning for all six counties in Northern Ireland.
Set to take effect from 12am to 6pm on Friday (30 January), the alert states: "Spells of heavy rain leading to some transport disruption and flooding in places."
Met Éireann national outlook ahead of the weekend reads: "Low pressure will continue to dominate, bringing further showers or longer spells of rain."
