Give us all the sun.
We didn’t have enough of it for the first six months of the year but it’s certainly making up for it now as we’re in for another day of gorgeous weather.
According to Met Éireann, the weather forecast today will see dry spells and plenty of sunshine.
It said: “Today will be another dry day with sunny spells in the south at first, but cloud in the northwest will spread southeastwards during the day and good sunny spells will develop again later in the afternoon and evening.

“Top temperatures will be 16 to 19 degrees over Connacht and Ulster but reach 20 to 23 degrees elsewhere. Winds will be light westerly but moderate over Ulster.”
Meanwhile, “tonight will be dry with good clear spells over much of the country. However, it will be cloudier in the north and northwest with patchy light rain or drizzle there. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in light variable or westerly breezes with some mist patches forming.”
Let’s be honest, with the amount of rain we suffered through last month, we can deal with some light drizzle tonight. We’re just hoping this kind of weather is here to stay.
