Take care.

Take care tomorrow.

Met Eireann has issued two weather warnings for tomorrow. They come into affect from Friday morning and last until the evening.

The first is a status Orange warning, which is the second highest warning in this country. It applies to coastal and high ground in Donegal, Galway and Mayo.

Met Eireann is forecasting very strong wings with gusts of 65 to 75 km/h and 100 and 120 km/h expected.

A status yellow warning is also in place for the whole country, for the same period, with gusts of 50 to 65 km/h and 90 and 110 km/h expected.

The weather will remain unsettled today with scattered showers and cold temperatures throughout the country but it’s going to change come Friday.

Earlier this week a spokesperson for Met Eireann confirmed that they are expected a storm over the weekend:

“A potentially stormy spell of weather is likely later this week and over the Christmas weekend.

“In particular, Friday looks like bringing stormy weather, with the north and west most at risk, but the details are still uncertain at this stage.

“It will be a milder day with top temperatures of around 8 to 11 degrees.”
