A man has died following a house fire in Co. Tipperary.
The fire is said to have broke out around midday on Sunday at a bungalow in Ballingarry, near Thurles in Co Tipperary.
Units from Thurles fire service were alerted by a passer-by and immediately rushed to the scene.
The flames were put out quickly before the man's body was found inside.
It's understood that he was in his 40s and was home alone at the time.
The scene has been sealed off by gardaí and a forensic examination of the house will be carried out in order to establish the cause of the fire.
A postmortem examination is set be carried out on the body at South Tipperary General Hospital.
It is currently believed there are no any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
