A man has died following a single car collision in Co Wexford.
The man, in his late 20s, was travelling on Clonattin Lower, the Arklow Road, Gorey in the early hours of this morning, when the van he was driving veered off the road and struck a tree.
He was seriously injured and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Gardaí are investigating the collision and the scene is currently being examined by Garda Forensic Examiners. The road will remain closed with local diversions in place until further notice.
GSOC have been informed of the road traffic collision and are conducting an examination.
