When it comes to getting what we truly want, some of us lose our heads in the process.
Whether it’s the queue for the deli to get the last sausage roll or grabbing a pair of shoes in the sale, some of us can let competition get the better of us and transform into an ugly beast we don’t even recognise.
One man in the Ukraine has done something he may regret pretty soon all because he wanted a free iPhone 7.
According to Cosmopolitan, 20-year-old Olexander Turin got creative when he wanted a new phone.
Upon seeing that his local iPhone stockists in Kiev had an interesting offer in exchange for a free iPhone 7, Olexander decided to risk it and change his name.
The offer in question was that the first five people to enter the shop who changed their names to iPhone 7 for a free phone would have their wishes granted.
At the time of writing, Olexander actually goes by the name of iPhone Sim Seven now.
Understandably, iPhone’s sister* didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when she heard the news of her brother’s new name, but had her own take on his decision.
“It was difficult to accept that and hard to believe it’s true…
“Each person in this world is looking for a way to express himself. Why not to do that in this way?”
Many people express themselves with new hair colours, going to gigs or getting tattoos but we have to say changing your name to iPhone is definitely a first.
*reports of iPhone’s sister’s name being Android are unconfirmed.
