The huge jackpot prize was won over the weekend.

The location where the huge €2.6m Lotto jackpot was won has been revealed.

The jackpot was won on Saturday, March 1, by one lucky Lotto player in Limerick who became the sixth National Lottery millionaire of the year.

Excitement is taking the village of Pallaskenry by storm today as the Gala store there was revealed as the store that sold the ticket.

The lucky player picked up their winning Quick Pick ticket from the store on Wednesday, February 26.

The store’s owner, Chen Xiyuan, was overjoyed to find out that his shop sold the winning ticket.

“I’ve been running the shop here for over four years, and this is by far the most exciting Lotto moment we’ve ever had!

“Pallaskenry may be a small village, but we’re a close-knit community, and our team of three works hard to serve everyone here,” he added.

“This incredible news has brought a wonderful buzz to the village, and we couldn’t be happier for the winner. We wish them all the best as they embark on this life-changing journey!”

National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, has also said: “We can officially confirm that the winner has been in contact, and arrangements are underway for them to collect their prize. We look forward to celebrating with them at Lottery HQ!”
