And viewers were instantly charmed.
A toddler took centre stage during lunchtime news broadcast after she came into the studio with her mum.
The young girl, Iris, and her brother George joined their mum Lucy in an ITV segment with newsreader Alastair Stewart to talk about milk allergies.
But playful Iris decided she didn’t want to sit still any longer – and would actually be more comfortable on top of the desk.
Host Alastair masterfully handled the adorable interruptions as he continued to interview Lucy.
He said:
“Joining me are mum Lucy Wronka and son George and right at the front of my desk, the delicious Iris who will do whatever she chooses to do over the next couple of minutes.”
As he continued to try and get through the interview, Iris ran around the studio – starting to jump up in front of the cameras.
She then tried to drag herself up onto the top of the desk, before giving Alastair a high five.
Viewers at home were charmed by Iris’ behaviour during the broadcast.
