Great news.
It was announced this morning that LinkedIn are set to add 800 new staff to their Dublin operation.
The announcement means that the LinkedIn staff in Ireland will reach 2000 by 2020.
They have already filled about 300 of these roles, with another 100 currently advertised online.
The company are planning to have all the new roles filled by 2020.
Speaking about the announcement, Sharon McCooey, head of LinkedIn Ireland, said:
“Our Irish office has become our second largest office in the world, after our global HQ, and our Irish members are some of the most active and engaged on our platform.”
“LinkedIn’s ability to grow its team in Dublin at such an impressive rate in recent years is a great endorsement of the talented workforce in Ireland,” said IDA Ireland’s CEO Martin Shanahan.
“This is yet another significant investment by the company in the country and clearly demonstrates LinkedIn’s long-term commitment to Ireland,” he added.
