The tragic incident occurred in Beaufort, Co. Kerry
A teenage boy has sadly passed away following a road accident in Beaufort, Co. Kerry.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic incident involving a tractor and a pedestrian at Beaufort, Co. Kerry, on Monday, April 7th.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident but the male juvenile was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the tractor, a male in his 20s, was not injured physically.
It is understood that the incident occurred on the Beaufort Bridge at around 7.30 pm.
The boy’s body has been taken to University Hospital Kerry, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The road has been closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are urging witnesses to come forward following this tragic incident.
They have also asked road users with relevant camera footage to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
They’re asking anyone traveling in the Beaufort Bridge, Co. Kerry area between 7 pm and 7.45 pm on April 7th to come forward.
