Now, we’re fairly certain that if people started referring to us as ‘sex symbols’ we’d be kind of thrilled (why yes, yes we did get our beauty sleep last night) but there’s one female celeb who’s fed up of being so beautiful. Can you guess who?
Yes, Scarlett Johansson has confessed that she’s getting a bit fed up of being seen as a sex symbol. The actress is tired of men falling at her feet and hates being called beautiful #firstworldproblems.
Anyway, ScarJo wants to be remembered not for her beauty but for her acting skills. Which is fair enough. We will say that the girl has got some excellent talent and she’s proved time and time that she’s a hell of a lot more than just a pretty face (you go ScarJo!).
“It’s easy to label an actor who’s played sexually charged characters as a sex symbol. It’s wonderful for people to think you’re attractive but it’s not something that defines me,” said Scarlett.
“Maybe that sounds…this is probably an annoying thing to say. But I’d like to think that I have more interesting defining qualities as an actor,” she added.

ScarJo: more than just a pretty face.
Scarlett also revealed that she is a person who has always felt old beyond her years (that explains the brief fling with Sean Penn (24 years her senior) then!).
“I feel like I’ve lived a long time already. I’ve always been around older people. As a kid on set, I was always the youngest,” she said.
“I guess I never think about someone’s age. I find, in relationships with people of all ages, you learn so much. I have girlfriends in their fifties,” she added.
