A 24-year-old Irish man has died after reportedly falling from an apartment balcony in Naples, Italy.
The young man, believed to be from Sandycove in Dublin, is said to have initially survived the fall, which happened over the weekend, but later died of his injuries in hospital.
He was apparently living and working in the city as an English teacher.
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it is providing assistance and support to the man’s family.
