An investigation has been launched by Gardaí in Co. Cork after a woman was found dead in her home in Cork city this morning.
According to reports, the woman, who is understood to have been in her 60s, was found at a house at Murmont Avenue this morning.
It has also been reported that a man, believed to be the woman’s husband, has been taken to hospital.
Another man has reportedly been arrested in connection with the incident.
Gardaí are conducting house-to-house inquiries and the scene has been sealed off.
A post mortem is due to take place later today.
