IN PICTURES: Adorable Rare Piglet Born in Chester Zoo

Too cute.

The rarest breed of wild pig has been born at Chester Zoo in the UK today, with just 200 of the breed thought to be alive worldwide.

This is the first birth of a Visayan pig in the UK, with the animal native to the Philippines facing extinction in the wild.

Keeper at Chester Zoo, Lucy Edwards said:

“Visayan warty pigs are critically endangered and face an extremely high risk of becoming extinct in the wild. It really is a battle against time to save them”.

The Visayan warty pig gets its name from three pairs of fleshy warts on the boar’s face.

The sex of the pig born to the British zoo is yet to be determined.
