Paul Danan's cause of death has been revealed after he was found dead earlier this year at the age of 46.
An inquest which opened today (11 March) heard that the former Hollyoaks actor died at home from a cocktail of drugs which included cocaine and heroin.
Danan was found on January 15 at his home in Bristol, where paramedics declared him deceased upon arrival.
At the inquest at Bristol Avon Coroner's Court, Coroner's officer Alexis Camp revealed Danan's provisional cause of death as a 'combined toxicity of heroin, methadone, codeine, pregabalin, cocaine and zopiclone, with a secondary contributory finding of benzodiazepine'.
Camp added that she understands 'there are no family concerns' and said there was 'no note left'.
The officer also added: "A post-mortem has taken place and samples have been removed for further analysis."
Statements will be taken from the star’s GP, family, police, and the ambulance service, and inquiries are ongoing with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP), she said.
It was also revealed that the star's partner, Melissa Crooks, formally identified him to responders at the scene.
Avon coroner Marie Voisin adjourned the inquest to receive detailed reports, and a full hearing is scheduled to take place on 28 May.
The 46-year-old had previously been very open about his struggles with addiction, having previously entered rehab in an effort to try and recover.
Confirming his death in January, his management company, Independent Creative PR, said: "It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old. Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to many.
"His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him.
"During this difficult time, we kindly request respect and privacy for Paul's family, friends, and colleagues."
Danan had been due to appear for a plea hearing at Warrington Magistrates' Court the day after his death, after being charged with being in possession of cocaine and cannabis, according to court documents.
He had also been accused of driving while under the influence of drugs on October 2 last year in Warrington, Cheshire.
