Actor Al Molinaro has passed away at the age of 96.
The Happy Days star was best known for his role as Big Al in the hit TV sitcom.
It has been reported that he died in hospital in California on Friday (October 30th).
His son Michael told the Los Angeles Times that his father had suffered complications from a gallstone infection.
Molinaro, or Big Al as fans fondly remember him, owned Arnold’s Drive-In on the popular show.
He was also well known for featuring in the Happy Days spinoff, Joanie Loves Chachi from 1982 to 1983, and had previously starred in The Odd Couple as Officer Murray Greshler back in the 1970s.
He is survived by his wife Betty, son Michael and three grandchildren.
