This weekend is set to be a rainy one.

Met Éireann has confirmed that the good weather will be coming to an end as an Atlantic system is set to bring rain and "unsettled" conditions over the coming days. The forecaster said that "rain will spread from the Atlantic during Tuesday and Tuesday night "with conditions to "turn a little more unsettled after midweek". Tuesday is set to begin with hazy sunny spells in eastern and southern areas but it will be mostly cloudy in the west and northwest, with patchy rain and drizzle developing throughout the morning. The weather is set to become cloudier and breezier through the afternoon and evening as the rain and drizzle will extend over the western half of the country, but the east and southeast will remain dry. Highest temperatures will be between 15 to 22 degrees. Wednesday will see patchy light rain and drizzle at times. However, clearer weather with sunny spells and scattered showers in the western half of the country will extend to all areas later in the day. Temperatures will reach between 15 to 17 degrees. Thursday will start off sunny, but scattered showers will develop in the west. It will stay largely dry further east but cloud will increase during the afternoon with temperatures of between 15 to 18 degrees. Friday will remain mostly dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, with temperatures dropping to between 14 and 17 degrees. Meanwhile, on Saturday, rain will push into western parts through the morning, extending to all areas through the afternoon and evening with temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees. On Sunday, conditions are set to be cloudy with further showery rain at times in all areas and temperatures dropping again to between 14 to 16 degrees.
