Passengers travelling to Shannon Airport are advised to allow extra travel time for the duration of the visit, as additional security measures will be in place on the approach road to the airport and car parks.
All visitors to the airport during the next couple of days are advised to have photo ID, and intending passengers should have photo ID and valid flight documentation available.
An Garda Síochána is also engaging with protest groups wishing to attend over the duration of this visit.
They have said that protests will be facilitated and every effort will be made to minimise disruption to the local community and patrons of Shannon Airport.
Access to Doonbeg village is not currently restricted and Doonbeg Village remains open for business as normal. However, additional security measures may be in place at certain times.
Gardaí are advising all motorists and commuters travelling in the area of the Phoenix Park, Dublin, on Monday 2 September to be aware of traffic restrictions.
Due to possible delays, they have asked people to plan their journeys ahead and leave extra time to get to your destination.
The following are the locations and times of road closures in place:
Chesterfield Avenue (Parkgate Street to Castleknock Gate) will be closed on Monday 2 September at 11.00pm until Tuesday 3 September at 7.00am.
Acres Rd will be closed from Tuesday 3 September at 7.00am until 5.00pm.
The Papal Cross Car Park will close to the public during these times. All roads will reopen when safe to do so. Thank you for your patience.
