UPDATE: Karen Scott has been found safe and well, in Dublin City Centre today.
Karen Scott, from Finglas in Co Dublin, has been missing for four days.
The 44-year-old left her home on Friday 24th June and since then, there has only been one confirmed sighting of her in Phibsborough.
Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal to the public for help with finding Karen who has Down’s Syndrome.
When last seen, Karen was wearing black jeans, a peach coloured hooded top and white runners.
According to RTE, she was carrying a red suitcase containing some brightly coloured tops, a mini skirt and shorts.
It’s believed that Karen may have had some money but did not have a passport or bus pass with her.
Appealing for more information, Inspector John Burke of Finglas Garda Station said:
“We are working closely with Karen’s family to try and locate her. We would appeal to anybody who has any information, however small, to contact us.
“Due to Karen being missing for a number of days, we and Karen’s family, are very concerned for her safety”.
Gardaí do not think that she was going to meet anyone but are eager to speak to anyone who may have spoken to her since Friday.
Although a number of sightings have been reported, including one in Co Cork, these have not been confirmed as of yet.
If you have any information that could help to find Karen, Gardaí are asking that you contact Finglas Garda Station on 01 666 7500 or alternatively, ring the Grada Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
