The pony is microchipped.
Gardaí in Tipperary are appealing for help after a therapy pony was stolen last week.
The incident happened in the Clonmel area on Saturday. The pony is named Cream and is brown in colour with white hooves.
The pony is owned by a family who has a daughter with Cerebral Palsy and is a wheelchair user.
The mum made a plea and spoke to The Sun, saying:
“It would mean everything to us. Giving Erin back her friendship with Cream. Her therapy, her exercise.
“She has a love for this animal and taking this pony has taken a huge part of Erin’s life. We have lost a part of our family in losing her and we can’t replace her.”
If anyone has any information, Gardaí are asking you to contact Cahir Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
UPDATE: The therapy pony has been found safe.
Update – Good news in the search for this missing pony. Recovered safely by neighbouring Gardaí in Cork today. The owners are currently on route to collect their pony from Mayfield Garda Station.
