Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Incident Involving John Gilligan

The convicted drug dealer was shot three times in the attack yesterday evening.

The Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information about the attack on John Gilligan.

The convicted drug dealer was at his brother’s home with family and friends in Clondalkin when he was shot shortly after 7.00pm on Saturday evening (March 1st).

According to the Irish Times Gilligan was hiding in the bathroom of the property when the door was kicked in. He was wounded three times, two to his upper chest area and one to his leg.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where his injuries have been described as not life threatening.

However many media outlets are claiming that he was given his Last Rites in the hospital where he remains today.
