Passengers are being warned that there may be delays at Heathrow Airport today as a protest is taking place at the busy London airport.
According to reports, the protest is being staged on the north runway at the airport by climate change activists.
“A group of people have breached the airport perimeter fence and are currently staging a protest on the northern runway,” the spokesperson stated.
Protest activity may lead to delays and cancellations, passengers are advised to check their flight status before travelling to the airport.

“We are working closely with the police who are dealing with the incident. The southern runway remains open.
“Our priority remains to ensure the safety of the airport community, including passengers, employees and protestors,” he added.
The airport is advising passengers to check the status of their flight before they travel.
