A prisoner who reportedly stabbed two prison officers on Tuesday has been arrested once more.
Derek Brockwell, who escaped from custody in Tallaght Hospital, reportedly spent Wednesday night in a hospital in Belfast following his arrest.
He is believed to have stabbed one officer in the arm and wounded a second in the stomach on Tuesday before making his getaway on a motorbike, driven by an accomplice.
However, Brockwell was reportedly spotted outside a bar in Belfast city at approximately 7pm yesterday evening.
According to reports, Brockwell was said to have been armed with a knife and is believed to have injured himself as he tried to evade PSNI officers.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Brockwell, who is from the UK, had been serving a seven-year sentence for armed robbery at Portlaoise Prison, after previously receiving a life sentence.
