Disney parks are increasing ticket prices yet again and people are MAD

The ticket prices at the Orlando and California parks have increased yet again.

It was announced yesterday that ticket prices in Walt Disney World in Orlando and at Disneyland in California are set to increase, with regular ticket prices now costing well-above $100 (€82). The parks’ websites updated over the weekend revealing an increase of $4 (€3.25) to “regular” ticket prices for Magic Kingdom bringing adult tickets to $119 (€97) and children’s to $113 (€92). Likewise, “peak” prices for adults and children have increased to $129 (€105) and $123 (€100) respectively. “Value” day tickets for Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom have also increased to $102 (€83) for adults and $96 (€78) for children. In Disneyland in California, general admission will see an increase of $7 (€6) to $117 (€95). Car parking costs will also increase from $20 (€16) a day to $22 (€18), and preferred parking rises to $45 (€37), up from $40 (€33). Speaking of the increase in ticket prices, a spokesperson for Walt Disney World said:

“Given the small percentage of guests that purchase a one-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending pre-published, date-specific pricing to multi-day tickets will further advance our efforts spread to attendance throughout the year."

More changes are expected later in the year in line with the company’s flexible pricing programme. The increase has left many regular and potential visitors angry and they have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations.

Keep raising prices.I guess this price hike is due to the bonuses Disney gave out.. I'm suspecting by 2020 it'll be 150.00 for a single day ticket to Magic Kingdom.. People will need to start selling their kidneys on the black market to be able to afford a day at Disney.Pathetic

As a longtime Disney family, I don’t like the price tag attached. It speaks to privilege! For families that save to come to Disney for the magical escape from reality it is a slap back into the haves and the have not‘s. Disney is should be magical for everyone equally!
