There are minor delays to departures at Dublin Airport this morning after two planes clipped each other on their way to the runway.
Two aircrafts, both Ryanair, were taxiing slowly to the runway when the winglet of one scraped the tail fin of the other.
There are no reports of any injuries and the passengers on both planes have been taken back to the terminal.
Ryanair issued the following statement: “Two of our aircraft were taxiing slowly to the runway at Dublin Airport this morning. The winglet of one aircraft appears to have scraped the tail fin of the other. Both aircraft were under the instruction of Dublin Airport Air Traffic Control at the time.
“Customers were bussed and boarded two replacement aircraft, which departed to Edinburgh and Zadar. Ryanair apologised sincerely to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
Dublin Airport said that arrivals are operating normally and advised passengers to check with their airline.
