The discovery was made during a Garda search of wasteland on Portrane Road in Donabate on September 17th.
Speaking to The Journal, the foster family who cared for Daniel during the first year of his life said he will be deeply missed.
They explained that Daniel was with them for just under a year, but said he became part of the family quickly.
"We got him the first day he was born, and we had to give him back the day before his first birthday, when he went back to live with his biological family."
"He was the sweetest little baby ever; we were all absolutely beside ourselves [when we got him]."
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Daniel Aruebose discovered skeletal remains in north Co. Dublin this week.
The little boy, who has been missing for four years, would be seven years old now.
The child was only discovered missing on Friday, August 29th. The discovery was made after the Department of Social Protection alerted Tusla to irregularities in an application for child support.
Tusla then contacted Gardaí, who began their investigation. Gardaí were told the child was buried after dying from natural causes.
A paediatric post-mortem examination is due to take place.
