Crouching Runners, Raging Bulls – Three Gored in Pamplona

As yet, no china shops have been harmed in this year’s Running of the Bulls. Three daredevil runners, however, have not been so lucky.

We haven’t got a bull’s notion why anyone chooses to do taunt, tease and then flee from a herd of raging bulls, but one beast got his own back in Pamplona today.

The annual Running of the Bulls is underway in the Spanish town of Pamplona this week, and today one bull broke from the herd, catching up with three running daredevils and making sure they would leave with the scars of battle.

The bull, weighing in at 640 kg, injured two Britons and one American according to a Navarra government statement, but none of the injuries were deemed serious.

Since records began in 1924, a total of fifteen people have been killed by the Pamplona bulls.
