A 13-year-old boy from Co. Fermanagh has died following an alleged incident at his school.
It has been reported that Oisín McGrath was in a critical condition in hospital following an incident which is claimed to have taken place at his school, St Michael’s College in Enniskillen, on Monday.
Parish Priest Father Seamus Quinn told UTV that the local community was devastated by what had happened.
“They are stunned, numb and utterly shocked with their hearts broken,” Fr. Quinn said about Oisín’s family.
“He was happy and helpful, genuinely helpful, intelligent young fella,” he continued.
“There is a silence in the village, there was a silence after Mass last night. Naturally people were just dumbfounded and in shock.”
Young Oisin McGrath’s death is heartbreaking. I’ll be praying for his family and all those devastated by this sad news tonight.

A statement from the school earlier this week revealed that an “incident” had occurred on the premises and that “one student became unwell and we sought medical assistance.”
According to reports, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident. He was later released on bail.
Tributes have been flooding in for the young GAA player since the news broke.
A statement from the Belcoo GAA club, where Oisín’s mother is secretary, read; “It is with regret and deep sadness that the congregation at mass this evening was informed that Oisín McGrath is no longer with us.”
A guard of honour by the club’s Under 14 team will take place at the funeral service.
