FAB.
If you work or go to college in or around the city centre, then the majority surely pass by College Green.
And if that awkward bus-Luas-taxi-pedestrian intersection wasn’t already holding you up, it looks like a ban on buses and taxis could come into effect there very soon.
The local authority and Dublin City Council CEO Owen Keegan is about to reveal some major plans for traffic flow in the area in the next three weeks.
Owen said that is was sparked because pedestrians are now waiting longer to cross the road at Grafton Street because the new Luas Cross City passes there.
According to 98fm, he believes the lights are unacceptably long and crossing over will only get worse throughout the summer months.
And so, his best plan is to reduce (or either completely stop) the amount of buses and taxis on the route.
Mr. Keegan is set to meet with stakeholders, such as Dublin Bus and taxi reps, in order to come to an agreement soon.
