BREAKING Rapper Mac Miller is dead aged just 26

Rapper Mac Miller has died at the age of just 26.

The former boyfriend of Ariana Grande, he was found at his home in the San Fernando Valley outside Los Angeles at around midday on Friday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to a report by TMZ.

It is believed he died from a drug overdose.

"Miller has had trouble recently with substance abuse... in the wake of his breakup with Ariana Grande," reports TMZ. Earlier this year, the rapper was arrested for DUI and hit and run. He fled the scene but police say he later confessed at his home. Mac Miller - born Malcolm James McCormick in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1992 - released his debut studio album, Blue Slide Park, in November 2011. Previously, he admitted he became addicted to "purple drank" - a combination of promethazine and codeine which he began taking during his Macadelic Tour in 2012. Five years ago, Miller told Complex that while on the concoction "I was so fucked up all the time it was bad. My friends couldn’t even look at me the same. I was lost". Mac Miller and Ariana Grande were together from August 2016 until May 2018. Ariana is now engaged to actor and comedian Pete Davidson.
