Hundreds of people have been evacuated from the London Bridge area following the discovery of a suspicious device.
People were forced to leave their offices in the security alert after a building near the Hay’s Galleria shopping centre became the centre of a police investigation.
Southwark Police and specialist Met officers were called to Tooley St. just before 12:30pm today, but have declined to give any official comment.
We’ve had reasons to evacuate building close to Hays Galleria SE1. Investigations take time. Will update when we can. Thanks for patience.

Network Rail and Transport for London (TfL) confirmed the station remains open to passengers. The road was closed to traffic while the investigation was being carried out, but reopened just before 3pm.
