Add us as a preferred source on Google »If, like us, you do the bulk of your shopping on ASOS then you'll likely be aware of this major change.
Shopping online does make our lives a little bit easier because we can do it from the comfort of our own homes.
However, figuring out what size you should opt for can be tricky. We don't have the option to try our clothes on like in stores, but we can return them.
ASOS disappointed shoppers this week by making quite a change to its return policy
Shoppers were made aware of this change to the returns policy change via an email this week.
The email read: "We want to give you a heads-up about some updates we're making to our Fair Use Policy that will affect your future orders with ASOS.
"As part of a small group of customers with a frequently high returns rate, you'll now only get Free Returns when you keep £40 or more from your order. If you keep less than £40 from your order, we'll deduct £3.95 from your refund. This change will only apply to orders placed from 8 October 2024, and you'll be reminded on-site."
Many shoppers admitted they will stop shopping on ASOS because of this new policy.
One wrote, "Not the best idea you’ve had discriminating against loyal customers penalised on returns because I’ve ordered 18 items over the whole of this year and returned 5, and only returned those due to sizing issues! See ya!"
"Well ASOS if you actually made clothes that fit so I wouldn’t need to buy multiple sizes we wouldn’t have that problem, consider me no longer a customer. Whilst you’re at it, improve your clothing quality before you act all high and mighty," another wrote.
ASOS has not responded to the backlash just yet.
Well this is a bit rich - how’s about you increase the quality and sizing of your products. I won’t need to return so much then will I? @ASOS_news I don’t think the group getting this email is that small either. That’s me limiting my ASOS orders! pic.twitter.com/p24VLA7iV1

Wow. That’s me no longer using @ASOS_UK and I hope everyone else who’s been sent this email does the same. Maybe if they made clothes that actually fit properly to the size they’re supposed to be or look like they did on the website I wouldn’t send as much back pic.twitter.com/KHVmj3XyWd
