An anonymous donor has decided to give away free cash in San Francisco as part of a “social experiment”.
According to Today, the man is only known through his Twitter handle @HiddenCash and claims he is between 35 and 45 years old. He says that he has made millions from real estate deals and plans to give away upwards of $1,000 a day by hiding cash around the streets of San Francisco.
As part of the “social experiment”, he has been leaving clues to its location on Twitter and more than $5,000 has been collected so far by people in the city. Locations have included trees, parking meters and park benches, with the Twitter account gaining more than 120,000 followers since it was launched on May 22.
