Annie McCarrick disappeared in 1993
Annie McCarrick reportedly planned to end her private relationship before she went missing in 1993.
According to Dublin Live, McCarrick was in a secret relationship before her disappearance.
However, she was planning on ending things shortly before she went missing, as she felt guilty about the relationship.
According to the publication, McCarrick wanted to end the relationship.
She was planning on telling the person, who is believed to be the main suspect in her murder case, that their relationship was over when she disappeared.
She also had plans to tell the suspect’s girlfriend at the time about the secret relationship.
The update comes after a man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of murdering Annie McCarrick.
Gardaí confirmed that a male was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in Dublin.
However, he was later released without charge.
Gardaí also commenced a search operation at a residence in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. Elements of that house and garden will be searched and subject to both technical and forensic examinations.
In 1993, Annie vanished without a trace from her home in Sandymount, Dublin. Aged just 27, the young woman was never seen again.
